We are often asked the question, "Can I get a full-speed Beachman, capable of going on the highway?"
The answer is yes. A few times a year, we build highly special custom bikes for customers of ours. These are not e-bikes but licensable motorcycles. These electric conversions involve us removing the entire internal-combustion powertrain from your vintage motorcycle, designing a powertrain to suit the size and riding style of the bike, and then rebuilding and restoring the bike into a beautiful new electric motorcycle.
The Hornet is our latest one-off creation. Built from a 1979 Kawasaki KZ400, it's designed for city rides and countryside cruising. While highway capable, it's meant for more relaxed Sunday driving.
The build features a triple bank of 40Ah Beachman batteries, giving this bike a massive 72v 120Ah power supply. She's capable of up to 150km/h and has a maximum range of 250km, with an average cruising range of 150km.
Finished in hornet-striped Sunflower Yellow with exposed power system racking and yellow dials to match, she is one of a kind.
The Hornet comes with a clean title and ownership history and is registerable in its original Kawasaki form, with an engine swap.
If you'd like to commission your own highway-speed Beachman build, reach out to us at Info@Beachman.ca. Builds start at $10,000 for a basic inner-city bike, with prices adjusting as range and top speed increase.
