Letter From The Founder No. 16
Hey everyone,
Well, I think you can guess the focus of today's letter. After waiting 11 months, 3 days, and 16 hours, our team finally got to stand back and gaze upon a finished, production-model Beachman 64 on Sunday morning. It was as relieving as it was glorious.
These bikes have far exceeded my own personal expectations, and it's due to the ceaseless work that my co-founder Steve has put into developing his dream product over the past 15 months.
The motor is punchier. The build quality is tighter, cleaner, and more rugged. The new box has added a whole new level of aesthetic goodness. Most importantly, it simply feels better to drive. I can't really explain it, but you'll know it the moment you sit on this bike.
I can now say with confidence that we sell the best e-bike in the world, and will continue to do so for a long time. We have a laundry list of future improvements we want to make that is bigger than a CVS receipt, and with the bike in hand, it's getting longer each day. But those future bikes are for another time, and the 64 is here today.
We don't have much else going on as we've been laser-focused on the bikes, so I'll just give an outline on the delivery strategy below.
As always I will highlight all the important bits like this for those who only have time to scan the email.
