Leonardo Da Vinci once said "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication".
The true mark of a great Medium roast is its just-right bitterness, and we found it by removing a bean from the blend, not adding more. What remained was a bold yet balanced coffee worthy of a Grand Prix winner. Thanks for the advice, Leonardo.
Monaco Gold is our everyday medium roast, with more complexity than your store bought coffee but still easy to brew compared to artisan light roasts like Bahama Blend.
To save money on shipping, we recommend grabbing more than one bag, as the shipping cost is the same for 2-4 bags as it is for one!
Where is it roasted?
Beachman coffee is roasted in Toronto, Canada by Stereo Coffee Roasters, just around the corner from our shop and headquarters. In particular, our coffee is roasted by Jake Taylor, the brother of Beachman Co-Founder Ben Taylor, who has had a life-long passion for coffee and bought his first espresso machine at the age of 15. The opportunity to come together and join their passions in creating this magnificent coffee was something truly special, and we hope you enjoy it.
Where is it from?
Monaco Gold is a rotating coffee blend. This means that as certain beans go out of season and new ones come in, we rotate them through the blend to ensure we have a consistent flavor profile year-round, something that is impossible with single-origin coffee. This iteration is primarily a washed Colombian.
What makes it premium?
Roasting locally with artisan roasters is only one step in the process. Our beans come from farms with extremely high standards of quality and are also packaged in 100% biodegradable bags. This packaging is costly, but it is also the right thing to do as we work to reduce our physical footprint on the earth.
