Letter From The Founder No. 31
New models, new merch, new... car?
Hey folks,
First of all, I hope all the Americans in this audience had a great Thanksgiving break. I'm sure this year was one with quite a lot of topics for table talk, but I hope it was also some much-needed time to eat well, relax, and see family and friends.
With how busy Beachman has been this year, I haven't personally been able to take a single day off of work in over 6 months, and the Thanksgiving long weekend was a blessing. Entrepreneurship is rewarding, but it is also equally taxing and hardens the spirit.
With that in mind, we have a few of the rewarding bits coming up!
We are finally releasing my personal all-time favourite customisation for the '64, the Street Spec. The photo above is my personal blue bike. I rode it all summer and was just in love with the design.
We also just finished converting an Alfa Romeo Spyder to electric, reviving a beautiful 1970's car that would have been taken off the road and giving it more life than it had when it was brand new.
Overall, it's been an exciting time at Beachman lately!

The Street Spec Is Here
After over a year of development, refinement, and engineering, we are launching the most impactful visual update to the Beachman '64 since its 2022 release.
For our most discerning customers, the street spec adds a truly classic, sophisticated café racer look to your bike to elevate it beyond anything else in its category. It comes with a front windshield fairing, as well as a set of high-quality street tires to get that urban look and improved road performance and range, as well as whisper-quiet tire noise.
You can have your front fairing painted to match your tank, as well as have racing stripes applied for an extra visual pop.
The package starts at $750, and is available right now for purchase on new bikes. At the moment, we can't sell it as a kit for existing 64's as it requires a good deal of custom work to get it to fit perfectly, but it can be installed for a fee if you bring your bike into HQ in Toronto.

An Electric, Stick-Shift Alfa Romeo
That's right, folks. Our Special Vehicles Division did the coolest thing we could think of, both from an aesthetics and functionality perspective, and built this customer his dream ride.
Neil came to us with his 1974 Alfa Romeo that really needed some love. It smelled of gas and was on its last legs, but the body was solid, and he'd driven it with care for over 30 years. We took his beloved car in, took her apart, and rebuilt her from the ground up using a Nissan Leaf drivetrain mated to his original manual transmission, giving him the ultimate stick-shifting EV experience.
This car rides better than it ever did with upgraded suspension, torque, and newly added Tesla power brakes, giving it not just new life, but a total rebirth.

The Messenger Bag:
Our Finest Cargo Solution
Our second launch is the removable Messenger Bag. This bag is simple, useful, and built to the same standards of build quality and aesthetics you've come to expect from all of our products.
Designed to be quickly released from the bike, carried around the grocery store or record shop with you while you shop, and then clipped back on the bike for the ride home, it is the ultimate hands-free storage solution for your Beachman '64.
Some highlights:
- Water-resistant waxed canvas & leather construction
- Rigid backing
- Quick-release mounting hardware for the bike
- Built-in shoulder strap to take the bag with you on the go
- 40cm x 35cm x 15cm = 21 litres or 5.5 gallons of storage per bag
These bags are also super nice as just an everyday messenger bag, so if you're looking for a unique gift for the holidays this is a great option, especially for someone who is saving up for a Beachman at the moment.

A Lovely Customer Review
I wanted to share this review left by Russel Graham of Victoria, BC of the new '64 Light Motorcycle. That's his photo above he left with the review.
I received my Beachman '64 LSM in late August and have been riding it consistently since then, both as a commuter and for fun. It's great as a "get on and go" bike. No time to warm the engine, no concern about fuel or oil. The bike is comfortable, even as a taller human (I'm about 6'2"), well balanced, and handles great. It accelerates quickly enough to not feel threatened by traffic, and it has more than enough range to get to and from work daily with an overnight charge. For reference, I live in Victoria, and I'm confident the bike could get from the southern tip of the Saanich peninsula all the way to Swartz Bay and still have a charge left over to get at least half-way back. So far the only caveat I've found is somewhat slow acceleration from stopped on a steep hill. The bike does get going, just slower than on level ground. I ordered saddle bags with mine, and I'm glad I did. They're roomy, secure, and really tie together the look of the bike. Like others have said, the '64 will attract polite attention. While sorting out insurance three people have complimented and questioned about the bike, and since then I've lost count of how many folks have asked me about it at stop lights, in parking lots, or even as I pull in to my driveway. I recommend this bike to anyone who likes cafe racer style and wants a commuter bike, or something fun to ride on weekends.
Thanks, Russell!

And that's everything.
Thanks for reading, folks. I thoroughly enjoy sending these letters, and I hope you enjoy receiving them.
There are lots of exciting things going on at Beachman that I didn't get to in this letter, so stay tuned for more.
